Alberto

So the 2006 hurricane season isn't exactly staring out with a bang. Which is a good thing. Alberto never even made it to hurricane strength which it had been expected to do - instead it stayed a tropical storm. We've had lots of rain and wind since Sunday night but that's it. Nothing major. There have actually been some benefits... we definitely need the rain. We're about 7 inches below average for the year. Plus, all the rain did a lot to aide the firefighters south of here who have been battling wildfires for the past six weeks or so. And... I love rainy weather. Despite the fact that all the moisture in the air means an instant bad hair day the second you walk out the door. Lame. Anyway, hopefully the rest of the season will be as mild. We definitely don't need a repeat of last year.

glad it wasn't bad at your house. It got windy and some trees came down..nothing serious this year. Last year an oak shot like a missile through our roof.. lucky for us it was the outer corner of the bathroom. Lets hope the rest of the season stays quiet for all of us. Nothing scarier than mother nature.
